Frequently asked questions

Since 1995, ICC has used a three-pronged approach of assistance, advocacy, and awareness to bandage and build the persecuted Christian church.

Assistance: We give hope and ease the suffering of persecuted believers, communities, and churches by rebuilding lives and equipping the church in the most hostile places.

Advocacy: We counter Christian persecution by informing policymakers, fighting for justice to free prisoners, and holding regimes accountable.

Awareness: We awaken the Western church to the suffering of persecuted Christians through engaging content that stirs hearts to prayer and action.

At ICC, we believe that it is our calling to support Bible-believing Christians who are facing persecution for their faith. We support Christians of all denominations, cultures, and backgrounds.

We advocate for religious freedom for all faiths. On occasion, our ministry will touch communities of other faiths, through programs such as Bible distributions among unreached people groups, but our primary focus will always be serving persecuted Christians.

As much as we wish we could help all suffering individuals in the world, we focus our efforts on persecuted Christians.

ICC is evangelical but non-denominational and supports Christians of all backgrounds.

We affirm the Apostles’ Creed.

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We aid persecuted Christians from all denominational backgrounds. This includes Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox believers. The persecuted church cannot easily afford to be isolated based on denominational differences, and we feel a Biblical mandate to support all who confess Christ as Lord.
  • We understand that there are significant theological differences between denominations and traditions. We acknowledge and accept the differences but feel we must pull together to support and defend the most vulnerable members of our family…the persecuted.

ICC’s headquarters is in Washington, D.C., and has more than 50 full- and part-time staff globally, and projects in over 40 countries, including Armenia, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nigeria, Syria, and Vietnam.

If you would like to report an incident of persecution or request support, please contact us at icc@persecution.org or 1-800-422-5441.

Thank you for serving persecuted Christians through ICC!

ICC accepts donations online, by phone (1-800-422-5441), or by mail (checks are processed and should be sent to: Donations, ICC, P.O. Box 268804, Oklahoma City, OK 73126-8804.

At ICC, we strive to be good stewards of the resources that God has blessed us with by using donations effectively, efficiently, and ethically. ICC has received high marks from charity watchdog groups, including the ECFA and Charity Navigator.

Additionally, ICC offers many ways to direct your gifts to serve the persecuted. As a donor to ICC, you can rest assured that when you direct your gift for a specific purpose, it will go toward that purpose. In cases where a project is no longer practical or effective, ICC may need to redirect money to a different fund, but we make every effort to ensure that gifts given for a specific cause will get to that cause.

Many organizations only have one general fund to give to, but we give donors choices that allow them to pinpoint their giving toward projects dear to them.

Any organization’s general fund (Where Most Needed) can be used to cover expenses across the organization and for victims.

Our focused funds can only be used for the items listed in the fund’s description. These also have the lowest administrative fee (6 cents of every dollar).

For ICC, these are:

  • Emergency Relief
  • Gospel
  • Community Development
  • Education

We are so grateful for your incredible heart to serve your persecuted brothers and sisters. On their behalf, thank you for caring for them.
