05/12/2023 A few months ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with Finnish parliamentarian Päivi Räsänen, who has come under fire for her faith. In 2019, she became the subject of a highly publicized case after tweeting a Bible verse about marriage and sexuality.
In the tweet, she questioned the leadership of Finland’s Lutheran church for participating in an LGBT pride event. Due to her comments, she was soon accused of hate speech.
