4/16/19 Iraq (International Christian Concern)- Christian refugees from Mosul and the Nineveh Plain began preparations to celebrate their fifth Easter in Iraqi Kurdistan. All across the region, Christians gathered on Saturday night to celebrate the coming of Palm Sunday and Easter. Forming processions with palms and olive branches, as possible, and singing hymns as they walk.

Large crowds communed together at Saint Joseph’s Church in Erbil’s Christian neighborhood. Other churches like the Diocese of Amadiya, combine resources to host bazaars for neighbors who continue to struggle.

In the midst of rebuilding, Iraqi Christians reflect on the events of Easter and celebrate in their joy together.
