Silence Broken as Family Hear from Imprisoned Iranian Christian

ICC Note: An Iranian Christian has been detained for 45 days in Tehran, Iran. The victim has not been charged yet, but the interrogations have been related to his Christian faith. He was detained with other 20 Christians, but so far, he is the only still being held.

4/18/2018 Iran  (Premier) – Details surrounding the status of an Iranian Christian convert who was arrested 45 days ago and not heard from since have emerged.

The family of Aziz Majidzadeh, 54, said they were contacted by him who informed them he was being held in the notorious Evin Prison, in the capital Tehran.

Kiaa Aalipour, spokesman for advocacy organisation Article 18, told World Watch Monitor that Majidzadeh has yet to be charged but his interrogations have focused on activities related to his Christian faith.
