ICC Note: After a gang member (backed by Chinese police) demolished land owned by  a Christian, the victim’s sister posted the story to overseas websites. In response, the Government returned the land accompanied by a reimbursement, and forced the offender to apologize to the victim, Bai. Bai’s sister insists that, had she not posted the story internationally, the Chinese government would have shown no concern for the crime committed against this man. This story shines light on the discrimination, persecution, and lack of federal protection that Christians are facing in China.

6/18/2016 China (ChinaAid)- A police-backed gang bulldozed three acres of land owned by a Christian on June 5 after forcefully taking it from him.

Liu Zigeng, a local gang member, took a soybean field from Bai Fengju, a Christian, in order to build temples. On the morning of June 5, Liu sent a group of 20 people to destroy the property.

According to Bai’s sister, the field was demolished without notice. When she heard of the demolition, she posted the story to overseas websites.
