CanedIn an unprecedented move, the conservative Islamic region of Indonesia known as Aceh has publicly caned a 60-year-old Christian woman for selling alcohol. According to its bylaws acts such as adultery, consumption or alcohol, gambling, and homosexual acts are considered offenses punishable under the Sharia.
