ICC Note: Radical Fulani herders continue to slaughter hundreds of Christian farmers in Benue State, Nigeria, while Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari vows to investigate the killings. Considering the government’s notorious history for downplaying the ongoing Fulani crisis, Buhari’s authenticity in this issue comes into serious question. The scope and scale of bloodshed and persecution that remains ongoing for the past 15 years in the region demands new explanations.
