Kenya: Security Upped Amid Al-Shabaab Terrorism Threats
ICC Note: Threat of attacks by Al-Shabaab during the Muslim festival of Idd-ul-adha have compelled Kenyan authorities to heighten security measures. Private companies are partnering with local police to improve the security of their facilities to be better prepared for possible attacks. Al-Shabaab usually self-consciously targets Christians however, it is likely the festival season could be a soft target for attacks in general as individuals could potentially be caught by surprise.
