Eight Christians Have Been Arrested In Shush, Iran
ICC Note: Iranian police arrested eight Iranian Christians and continue to hold two of them under charges of “spreading Christianity.” Police raided a picnic where the men were meeting. They interrogated the men, holding them until 9:00 pm. They then released some of them, but had a warrant for the arrest of two of the men on charges related to their faith.
03/09/2014 Iran (HRANA) – A server of an Iranian Church along with 7 others Iranian who have recently converted to Christianity were arrested near a river close to Shush.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), 8 people including a servant of an Iranian Church and seven other Christians who newly converted to Christianity had gone near a river close to Shush for picnic and have been arrested by intelligence service forces and transferred to headquarter to Shush city, on Wednesday 5th of March.
They are identified as Amin Khaki (Church servant), Hossain Barro Zadeh (Danial), Rahman Bahmani (Ziya), Hossain E`temadi Far (Yunatan), ohammad Bahrami, Salimeh Rahimi (Merta), Fatemeh Bagheri and Amineh Mo`ala.
They have been interrogated blindfolded until 9pm. Finally five of them with the names of: Hossain E`temadi Far, Mohammad Bahrami, Salimeh Rahimi, Fatemeh bagheri and Amineh Mo`alla released by written commitment for not exiting the city.
But, warrant arrest is issued for Hossain Baroon Zadeh and Rahman Bahmani and they are in detention.
An informed source said to HRANA’s reporter, “Around 2:30pm, two cars and a minibus approached to river shore and arrested these people, perhaps with beatening while they were on picnic. First, they did not show any warrant but when one of the Christians complained they showed a warrant that was just addressed Amin Khaki and Hossain Baroon Zadeh for the allegation of spreading Christianity.”
