Pray for the Persecuted Moroccan Church

February 9, 2012
February 9, 2012

Pray for the persecuted church in Morocco. This African country is 99% Sunni Muslim according to the national census. The few Christians in Morocco reside in the capital, while a small foreign Christian community run churches, orphanages, hospitals, and other organizations. The Christians are allowed to live in peace within Morocco as long as they refrain from proselytizing; if they do proselytize, they often face expulsion. The government prohibits the distribution of all non-Muslim resources throughout Morocco. Some Christians have faced discrimination due to their faith, while new converts may face social ostracism, questioning and detention by authorities, and the denial of passports. Pray for this small minority who live in a predominantly Muslim country. Click here to learn more.
