Pray for Indonesia and Its Persecuted Church

February 8, 2012
February 8, 2012

Indonesia has been rapidly growing as a place of increasing persecution since the 1990s. While it does hold a stance of religious freedom towards four religions, including Christianity, the growing Muslim population and Islamization of the country has eroded preexisting religious tolerance and freedom. Sharia Law has been implemented in some provinces with a Muslim majority. Muslim influence in government has made religious freedom difficult to attain. Destroying churches, attacking and killing Christians, and other acts of persecution have continued with little to no punishment. Pray for our brothers and sisters in Indonesia who are living in an increasingly hostile country towards their beliefs.
