(ICC) – Pakistan has announced its intention to revise its notorious blasphemy laws that have been used against Christians. On July 8th, State Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Raza Hayat Hiraj announced the draft legislation to revise the laws. Christians and human rights groups like ICC worry that the revisions will not go far enough. The MMA (the radical Islamic party) has vowed to fight any meaningful change to the present laws and has threatened to mobilize the masses to stop any amendment to the laws. Please pray for meaningful reform to the hateful and destructive blasphemy law.
