Anti-Christian, Anti-Semitic Attacks Spike in France

A new report from the French government’s Interior Ministry found clear evidence that Jews and Christians are facing the largest number of reported abuse and attacks in France during the last year.

The findings, reported by Worthy News, illustrate the massive religious freedom problems France currently has, particularly since the Oct. 07 attacks by Hamas against Israel. The growing intolerance, discrimination, and violence against Jews and Christians in France should send warning signals to other nations facing similar spikes against these communities.

The report also found:

  • A 70% increase in attacks on Christians in 2025, including a doubling of physical assaults targeting members of the Christian community and church leaders, and a sharp rise in disruptions of religious services and threats against worshippers.
  • 53% of all anti-religious acts in France recorded in 2025 were against Jewish people, synagogues, and communities.
  • 34% of reported anti-religious attacks happened against Christians and church buildings.
