ICC President’s Video Message to Iran

February 25, 2026 | Iran
February 25, 2026

Like you, we have been closely following the delicate situation in Iran during the past month.

Reports on the number of protesters killed vary from 7,000 to more than 30,000, depending on the source. A second aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, is now in the region as U.S.-Iran nuclear talks are underway.

The Middle East, and Iran in particular, has always been a tinderbox. It will continue to be until Jesus returns.

This is a critical time for Iran and the global Church, so we are amping up efforts to stand with our courageous Iranian brothers and sisters.

Iranian Christians: Outnumbered, Ostracized, and Oppressed

The escalating conflict has increased fear for Iranian Christians, who make up less than 1% of the population. While Christians with Armenian and Assyrian roots in Iran can worship Jesus — but not convert others — Muslim converts to Christianity have a target on their back.

These Muslim background believers (MBBs) are the most vulnerable. They are watched, arbitrarily arrested, imprisoned, and forced to worship secretly, “underground.” Meanwhile, they are often separated from their families, their children forced to study Islam.

Called to Serve

International Christian Concern (ICC) will stand with our brothers and sisters in Iran. We are talking with trusted and carefully vetted partners and are ready to supply emergency aid and fuel the underground church when conditions allow.

We are preparing to respond quickly with:

  • Emergency relief for displaced families.
  • Food, shelter, and medical aid for persecuted believers.
  • Discipleship and pastoral care.
  • Care for imprisoned Christians and their families.
  • Prayer for protection, peace, wisdom, and God’s presence amid turmoil.

The Church in Iran is one of the fastest-growing in the world. If a window opens, believers will have an unprecedented opportunity to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of a nation crying out for both! ICC — with your partnership — will be there to equip the Iranian Christians to do just that.

But we must be ready before that door opens.

We ask that you, our faithful followers, intercede on behalf of our Iranian brothers and sisters through your prayers and support.

Please discuss Iran with your family, friends, and churches. Share what’s happening on social media to raise awareness. And call on leaders and media outlets to report the truth. We cannot let our brothers and sisters suffer in silence (Proverbs 31:8).

May the Lord hear the cries of His people, establish His purposes in Iran, and shine His light into the darkness. Thank you for standing with the Body of Christ in Iran. And watch your inbox closely in the coming days for more information on how to help!

Thank you for being part of the incredible story that God is writing for the persecuted church through ICC.

All for Him,

Shawn P. Wright

President, International Christian Concern
