11/23/2024 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – Generation Transformation began with the aim of educating and empowering Christian students who are often treated as second-class citizens, and typically only seen as suitable for jobs like trash collecting and sanitation work. By focusing on education, our goal is to break this cycle of discrimination that has persisted for generations.

The first round of Generation Transformation started in September 2021 with nine students enrolled in different three-year university programs. This year, we celebrate as these nine students graduate with remarkable grades. Some have secured jobs while others are continuing their education.

“This achievement is not just the empowerment of nine individuals, but also the empowerment of the nine families and their future generations,” said one of our in-country staffers.

Sunaikha and her family were affected by the All Saints Church bombing in 2013. She dreamed of becoming a nurse, but due to her family’s financial situation, her dream would not have been possible. She joined ICC’s Generation Transformation program to pursue her nursing studies.

Sunaikha is set to graduate this December as a nurse.

“To me and my family, ICC was like an angel sent by God. When all our relatives gave up on us, ICC stepped in and helped us during our most vulnerable times. They stood by us when we faced our hardest challenges,” she said. “I thank God for ICC and pray for them every day. I’m set to graduate in December, and I give all the credit to ICC because I wouldn’t have become a nurse without their support.”
