Fulani Militants Ambush, Kill 3 Christians in Plateau State

7/11/2024 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) — On Sunday, July 7, Islamic Fulani militants ambushed Christians from the village of Maiyanga in the district of Kimakpa in Bassa, Plateau state, killing three and injuring two others.  

The ambush occurred around 8 p.m., as the believers were coming home. The militants attacked them with machetes and sticks.  

The Irigwe Development Association (IDA) released a statement confirming and condemning the attack. Sam Jugo, the IDA’s national public secretary, also called for Nigerian security agents to ensure that the attackers are apprehended and brought to justice.
