03/20/2023 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Many pastors in India possess tremendous enthusiasm to share the gospel to the ends of the earth. However, they often lack the resources to do so.

One of ICC’s flagship projects for the past few years is Bikes and Bibles, an initiative to empower and equip 1,000 church planters to reach rural India. ICC supplies a bicycle and 100 New Testaments to each church planter.

In 2022, we concluded our ninth phase of this project, where we supplied 98 rural church planters across seven states. In total, we’ve equipped 1,383 pastors. Many of these church planters serve in difficult areas where preaching the gospel invites harassment and threats from Hindu radicals. In the last nine years, since the pro-Hindu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) assumed power, religious minority persecution has more than tripled.
