06/14/2021 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – The Pope visited Iraq for the first time in papal history in March 2021. During his visit, he traveled to Christian regions decimated by ISIS, including the Nineveh Plains, Qeraqosh, and Mosul.

Qeraqosh is known for its chicken farms and ICC has been helping this community rebuild for several years. Many chicken farmers were left with little to nothing after ISIS attacked.

ICC partnered with them to rebuild the local economy by providing chickens and farming supplies to help the Christians get back on their feet. By the Lord’s providence, 3,000 chickens quickly became 9,000 chickens. The 12 farms we worked with provided 14,000 jobs.
