08/13/2019 Niger (International Christian Concern) – It has been reported that Boko Haram has kidnapped 179 people in Niger this year. Of those, the majority are young women and girls. With it being just over 220 days into the year, they have come close, with just reported numbers, to kidnapping 1 person a day this year in Niger alone. This does not include the many unreported cases that happen each year or their attacks and kidnappings in Nigeria or Cameroon. The group, who the Nigerian government has many times claimed defeated, continues to devastate and destroy communities through violence, kidnapping, robbery and terror.

There is however a coalition built between the countries most attack by the terror group. This coalition includes Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon with aid from outside countries as well. They have been working to stop the attacks and rebuilding of the organization, which still ranks in the top three most active and violent terrorist organizations in the world. Please pray that this coalition would be able to effectively end the recruiting and attacks of Boko Haram, and that the people of Niger, Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon would be safe from kidnapping and attack.
