07/30/2019 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Displaced Christians in Myanmar face countless obstacles as they attempt to earn a living. Most young IDPs are forced to drop out of school, stunting their career potential for the future. Young women in this situation sadly find themselves vulnerable to human trafficking, sometimes at the hands of their own neighbors and friends seeking financial gain.

In order to protect displaced women from such horrors, ICC teamed up with local partners to provide 19 young women with a six-month sewing course. Following their graduation from the course, the trainees displayed and sold the clothing they made throughout the training. More importantly, they have learned a skill that they can use to support themselves, and others, financially in the future.
