ICC Assists Victims of Attack by Hindu Extremists
05/01/2019 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – The clash between Christians and Hindus in a local village began with the tragic death of Erma’s 3-year-old daughter. Local believers wanted to bury her according to local Christian rituals, but villagers demanded that they should follow Hindu rituals. However, the Christian family persisted and buried the girl according to Christian tradition anyway.
This greatly angered villagers, so they came to Erma’s house, broke the roof, locked the family outside, and beat them severely. The Hindu villagers then visited two other houses that supported the burial, damaging the homes and stealing the residents’ voter IDs and livestock. The Christians filed a First Information Report at the nearest police station, but was the case was soon suppressed.
Since the villagers senselessly took the Christians’ livestock and killed the goats, these believers faced difficulties providing for their families. Thanks to your donations, ICC responded to the families’ needs and provided them with livestock, house repairs, food, and new clothing. Upon the delivery of the items, the families were amazed by the display of generosity. The children were especially excited to receive new outfits and biscuits!
