01/11/2019 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) – The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Plateau state has called for a peaceful election during a special prayer session in Jos. Guest speaker Rev. S.O. Academy challenged the Christians gathered to see the elections as an opportunity to serve and not as a ‘do-or-die’ affair.

Historically, general elections in Nigeria have been characterized by violence between political parties and religious groups. Christian leaders in Nigeria are hoping that this election will be different.

Special prayers were also offered for Leah Sharibu, a Christian teen being held by the Boko Haram terrorist group, as well as other Boko Haram captives.
