U.S. Condemns Violence, Impunity in Nigeria

 ICC Note:  The U.S. government is concerned with the level of impunity in Plateau State after the level of violence that has been reported in the last few years. The Nigerian government was also admonished by the persecution of innocent victims who do not comply to the demands of Islamic radicals.

7/31/2018 Nigeria (All Africa) – United States of America has condemned the violence and impunity in Plateau State and other parts of the country, calling on the law enforcement agencies to arrest and prosecute those behind the acts.

The Charge d’Affaires, U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, David Young, made the condemnation yesterday at a three-day peace and security conference with the theme ‘A Resurgence of Violence in Plateau State: Forging a Multi-Stakeholder Partnership for Peace and Security’ in Jos, the state capital.
