Al-Shabaab Kills 8, including 4 children

ICC Note:

Al-Shabaab killed 8 more people in Kenya, in latest roadside bombing, using an improvised explosive device. This included 4 kids who were returning to school and being escorted by police. This attack comes just one week after killing 15 in Somalia. Al-Shabaab has become the deadliest terrorist organization in Africa, killing more than 4,200 in 2016.  They frequently attack Christians, women and children in their attempt to gain control of the country.  

  

06/29/2017 Kenya (AllAfrica) – Nairobi — Four school children are among eight people killed in a roadside bomb attack that occurred in Kiunga, Lamu on Tuesday.

The other four are police officers who were escorting the school children to Kiunga from Mararani.

“We have eight fatalities of four children and four police officers,” a senior police officer told Capital FM News from Lamu.
