The Global Community calls on China to release Underground Bishop

Earlier this year, Vatican-approved Bishop Peter Shao Zhumin was unjustly detained and taken to a remote province away from family, friends, and his disciples. It is concluded that the beloved bishop most likely was sent to a labor camp where he would endure torture and be forced to do hard labor. The global community has taken notice of the injustice towards Bishop Shao and is doing something about it. Over 22,000 people have signed an online petition demanding that Chinese authorities release the underground bishop.
10/13/2016 China (UCA News) – More than 22,000 people have signed an online petition demanding that Chinese authorities release a Vatican-approved bishop who has been taken to one of China’s more remote provinces.
The signature campaign for the release of underground Bishop Peter Shao Zhumin, offered in seven languages on online petition website CitizenGO, is addressed to Chinese, American and European Union ambassadors.
