Pakistan has shut down 11 Christian television stations calling them “illegal broadcasts”. Christian leaders in Pakistan have already been quick to criticizes this move by the government. In Pakistan, Christians endure intense persecution. Islamic extremism is widespread in the country and attacks on Christians and their places of worship are common. Now that the government is shutting down Christians’ ability to share the Gospel over television, how will Christians share their faith?

10/11/2016 Pakistan (Catholic Culture) – The government of Pakistan has shut down 11 Christian television stations, citing them for “illegal” broadcasts.

“The proclamation of the good news is now illegal,” Father Mushtaq Anjum, a Pakistani priest involved with the media, told the Fides news service. “Christians have no place in public television channels.”
