Ten months ago, Pastor Yang Hua was arrested for revealing “state secrets.” His legal representative recently revealed that Pastor Hua is very sick from a liver illness and other diseases stemming from maltreatment by government officials. Not only has Pastor Hua been abused while in custody, his family has also been threatened.

10/06/2016 China (Christian Daily) – The health of a house church pastor who has been detained for 10 months for allegedly divulging state secrets is seriously deteriorating, according to his lawyers who recently visited him.

Pastor Yang Hua, who has been in police custody since Dec. 9, 2015, has been found to be suffering from a liver illness and other serious diseases. His legal representatives, Chen Jiangang and Zhao Yonglin, also told China Aid that their client is being treated poorly by government officials.

In June, China Aid obtained documents from a lawsuit that alleged that the pastor suffered from abuse at the hands of authorities while incarcerated. In an exclusive interview with Chen, Yang detailed how three prosecutors visited him on March 16 and threatened his life and his family.
