ICC Note: A 5-year-old Christian girl in Pakistan was recently raped by the Muslim son of her father’s landlord. After this incident happened, the landlord forbade the Christian parents of the young girl to report it to the authorities for a week. Because of this the parents were not able to obtain a medical report to use as evidence of the sexual assault for the police. The entire family of the Muslim man have threatened the family of the little girl that they will harm them if their son is brought to justice for the assault. Christians in Pakistan suffer severe persecution, such as this incident, and the government and authorities often do not take action against the culprits, often showing partiality towards them.

08/14/2016, Karachi, Pakistan (Christians in Pakistan) – A 5-years-old Christian girl sexually assaulted by son of her landlord. Following the atrocity, the alleged rapist and his father withheld the parents of the victim from lodging a police complaint of the incident. The 22-years-old rapist who is son of an influential Muslim has so far not been hooked owing to the partiality displayed by the police.
