ICC Note: A government official has stated that a Boko Haram leader was captured by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) on June 7 at Mussa village in Borno state, Nigeria. This arrest of a 56 year-old man who is known to be a recruiter and weapon supplier for the terrorist group is a step forward for the Nigerian Army in their attempts to crush the Boko Haram insurgents that have terrorized the country since 2009, raping and killing thousands of people, particularly targeting Christians in the country because of their radical-Islamist ideology.
