ICC Note: Radical Fulani herders are expanding ever closer to southern Nigeria in their continuous murderous rampage of Christian villages, the latest of which has occurred in the southeastern Enugu State. According to reports, the death toll climbs as high as 48 in Ukpabi Nimbo community where Fulani gangs torched houses and destroyed property worth tens of thousands of dollars. The tragedy strikes fresh in a long line of radical Islamist Fulani attacks that mostly happen in Nigeria’s central “Middle Belt” region. However, the disturbing news about this latest assault shows that the problem is spreading further south after Fulani herders murdered more than 500 Christians in Agatu, Benue State in February.
