Tran Thi Hong was forcibly taken to the local police station and beaten for information regarding a meeting she had with First Secretary of the US Embassy and Ambassador-at-large for International Religious Freedom David Saperstein. Her husband, Pastor Nguyen Cong Chinh, was originally arrested in 2011 amd charged for a sentence of 11 years.
