NEWS | Pope Neglects to Speak of Religious Freedom in First Interview on China

An exclusive published by Hong Kong’s Asia Times has the Pope expressing his admiration for China in his first ever interview on China. He failed to mention a single thing regarding Chinese persecution of Christians and the lack of religious freedom in the Communist nation. With the increased crackdown of the church in China, one would have expected some form of condemnation from the leader of the Catholic Church. An estimated 1,700 crosses have been demolished since 2014 with over 400 churches joining the whitewashing of Christianity by Chinese Authorities.
