ICC Note: Reports coming in show that ISIS has taken responsibility for bombing a residential neighborhood outside of Damascus Syria.  30 were killed and 40 more people were injured, including women and children.  Christian populations living amongst the Shi’a Muslims have feared the growing threat from ISIS influence throughout Syria.  As the Vatican, UN, and other hopefuls look to the alleged “peace talks” between the Assad regime and Syrian Opposition forces, Christians still in Syria remain skeptical that any outcome will protect them from future violence.

1/31/2016 Damascus (RT) – Two bomb blasts have struck the outskirts of Syria’s capital, Damascus. At least 30 people were killed and 40 wounded in twin blasts in the mainly Shi’ite neighbourhood, Syria’s Interior Ministry reported. The Islamic State terrorist group has taken responsibility for the attacks.
