ICC Note: The global media have hammered Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari for his statements on Christmas Eve saying that Boko Haram is “technically defeated.” One Nigerian pastor says the only way to rid the Islamist terror organization from Nigeria is through repentance and prayer. Boko Haram has particularly ravaged Christian communities during its six-year insurgency in northern Nigeria with murder, rape, and kidnappings.

1/8/16 Nigeria (CP) – As Nigeria’s conflict with terror group Boko Haram looks set to continue throughout 2016, the executive director of the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans has said that only repentance and the fear of God can win the war.

The Islamic extremists have been attacking government buildings, civilians, Christians and people of all walks of life in various raids, shootings and bombings throughout almost six years of insurgency, where they have killed over 20,000 people.
