Another Christian Girl Abducted and Raped in Pakistan

Weeks after the rape of a 7-year-old Christian girl by multiple Muslim men was reported in Pakistan, another report of a Christian girl being abducted and raped by Muslim men has surfaced. According to Sharing Life Ministry Pakistan, a 11-year-old Christian girl was abducted from the town of Distt, Sheikupora and raped multiple time during her three day ordeal. Like previous cases, the perpetrators of this crime are threatening violence against the Christian family in an attempt the keep them from getting justice. The rapists have demanded that the Christian family settle the matter out of court or else they will start a riot in town and burn down all the Christian homes. This case only continues to highlight the suffering of Christian in Pakistan.
5/12/2014 Pakistan (Pakistan Christian Post) – A few days back, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Tassaduq Hussain Gillani, took suo moto notice of the incident of rape of a minor Christian girl in Daska village and inordinate delay in the provision of justice to the grieved family, police harassment and the forcing of the grieved family to patch up with accused rapist, stated to be influential politically, as APP reported. The CJP further sought a detailed inquiry report of the case from the Inspector General of Police in Punjab, Khan Baig.
During the meantime, another gang raped case occurred in Distt, Sheikhupora. According to Sharing Life Ministry Pakistan (SLMP), Maria Sarfraz, age 11, was kidnapped and gang raped for three days. Maria was a school student and went to for her studies, but members of the Muslim religious political party abducted her and took her to another city.
Her father, Sarfraz Andrew, went to the police station and registered a First Investigation Report – FIR No. 272/14 on 25th April, 2014. The girl was recovered after three days and medical reports declared that she was forcefully raped by the accused for three uninterrupted days. Local police arrested Muhammad Safdar and Muhammad Mehboob. The accused have religious and political backgrounds and are forcing the family to compromise.
The rape victim’s aggrieved family has urged the CJP to provide them with justice and stern legal action, besides, providing them security of life and their properties, alleging that the accused rapists companions were also threatening them with dire consequences for not patching up. Family members said that the accused have also threatened to burn the houses of local Christians in the surrounding area, if they don’t patch up with the rapist.
