British Airways Bans Flight Attendant From Carrying Personal Bible On Flights To Saudi
British airways is at it again. Earlier in the year they banned another flight attendant from wearing a cross around her neck but then reversed the order after a public outcry.
Now they are banning flight attendants from carrying their personal Bibles while on flights to Saudi. The airline created this ban on advice from the UK Foreign Office on advice from the Saudis. The Foreign Office website lists the following piece of advice (from the Saudis) “the importation and use of narcotics, alcohol, pork products and religious books, apart from the Qu’ran (Koran), and artifacts are forbidden”.
This is a great little tidbit that exposes Saudi hypocrisy. They love to spend billions to build mosques and fund radical clerics around the world (especially in free Western societies) but then they dont even allow a flight attendant to carry her own personal Bible into the country while she is on the job.
Please be sure to call British Airways and let them know what you think of their policies.
