ICC Note
There is news circulating about 2 more Christians arrested in a country where there was recent controversy over another arrested convert.
We would urge media outlets (especially Christian Agencies) to not discuss this. If names and details are put out in press releases then the individuals will become political footballs.
Things can be dealt with quietly.
ICC would urge Christian NGO’s and media outlets to give this some time and see if things are taken care of.

History of Violence

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) is a terrorist organization that emerged in 2016 after splitting from Boko Haram. It is affiliated with ISIS and operates primarily in Nigeria and the surrounding region, targeting both civilians and military forces.

ISWAP has been responsible for numerous attacks, including assaults on Christian communities, kidnappings, and executions, as part of its broader jihadist agenda.
