Nepali Christians Urge for Religious Freedom

A two-day gathering of Nepali Christian pastors and religious leaders concluded releasing a Kathmandu declaration in Kathmandu , Wednesday.

Releasing a six points declaration at the end of the gathering, pastors and religious leaders urged for religious freedom in the country so as to allow people to practice any religion of their choice.

The Kathmandu valley based gathering of Nepalese Christian also called upon all not to give up their own tradition, culture, customs, social norms and values and national identity along with the Christian identity.

Expressing grave concern about the on-going conflict in the country, they renewed their commitment to work together with other religious communities to establish peace and social harmony in the country.
