The briefing is sponsored by Senators Rick Santorum and Susan Collins. The event will focus on the Saudi government-controlled and funded television channels, including TV1, TV2, and satellite channels such as Al- Majd and Iqraa TV.

These channels include shows with leading Saudi religious figures, professors, members of the royal family, government leaders, and intellectuals. These programs include calls for the annihilation of Christian and Jews; anti-Americanism and anti- Semitism; support for Jihad and terrorism; and incitement against U.S. troops in Iraq .
