( ICC) – Tensions have eased since the Ambon Riots that began on April 25 and claimed the lived of 39 people and the torching of churches and homes. Although yesterday several streets were barricaded by Muslim crowds, nothing materialized from it. Human Rights organizations are calling for an investigation into the sniper killings that occurred during this time, and for the prosecution of the guilty. On May 22, President Megawati will pay a visit to Ambon to access the damage from the riots.
