01/29/23 Throughout the gospels, Jesus issues a simple command: “Follow me.” Without knowing the details or the trials that await, his disciples dropped the comforts of this world to follow Him.
Those who know Jesus personally know that He is worth leaving everything else behind. In particular, the persecuted understand this well. Threatened with harassment, job loss, violence, and much more, they hold fast to their Savior.
The love of Christ has become their true home and security. When everything else is stripped away, they still have the One that matters more than anything else.
