01/29/2023 Africa (International Christian Concern) – Aisha was born into a Muslim family and married at 15. She faced hardship when her husband took on three other wives, stopped supporting their children, and began abusing alcohol in 2020.

A friend advised her to embrace Christianity for peace, and she converted in February 2023. Her husband reacted by giving her an ultimatum to denounce Christ or leave their home. She chose her newfound faith, was physically removed from the house in April. She found shelter with her Christian friend. However, her family and husband’s threats of violence leave her in a precarious situation.

ICC helped Aisha set up a retail shop to sustain her and her young children so she could escape the dangerous threats coming from her family.

“Thank you God and my Jesus for what You have done for me. Thank you, ICC, for this wonderful work and for not forgetting us who are persecuted,” she expressed. “I have no words to express my happiness, but all I can say is thank you so much, and may God bless you.”
