10/26/2022 India (International Christian Concern) – Christians in central India were beaten by police at the Golampalli police station in Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred last Sunday when a Christian constable and members of New Bethel Church went to the police station to file a complaint regarding the attack on Christians in their houses by the radical Hindu nationalists.

According to sources reaching out to International Christina Concern (ICC), the radicals’ attack on Christian homes occurred late last Friday. The police station doesn’t function beyond 6 pm so the Christians couldn’t call for help at the time of the attack. The following Sunday, the Christians and their Christian constable went to the Golampalli police station to complain about the attack. Two police officers beat the Christians with sandals for complaining about the attack. According to local sources, a First Incident Report was finally lodged after repeated attempts by the Christian leaders in the state.

The attacks against Christians in Chhattisgarh have increased. Unfortunately, there is little or no help from the authorities. All over the state, Christians have been targeted and their homes vandalized. They have even been denied proper burial for the Christian dead. We pray for our Indian brothers and sisters.
