12/12/2019 Africa (International Christian Concern) – In 2015, three of the top ten countries with the largest Christian populations were in Africa. Now the projection of evangelism efforts in Africa predict that six of the top ten countries will be from the continent, according to a Pew Research report.

As Christianity grows quickly and swiftly across the continent, the potential for inter-religious conflict increases as Christians can be seen as a threat to Muslim-majority lands and governments. This is particularly the case in Nigeria with Fulani herdsmen traveling through Christian land and attacking villages, as well as Boko Haram and the Islamic State in Africa.

Countries reportedly most affected by Islamic extremism include Nigeria, Niger, Burkina Faso and Somalia.
