04/30/2019 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) – Eight Christians who were killed on Easter were buried today in Northern Nigeria. These Christians were holding an Easter day parade in Gombe State, when an off duty security agent ran into the back of the procession. According to several locals and leaders of the Christian community, the officer had an argument with the children in the procession and was very upset that the parade was blocking traffic.

After the children let him through, the officer supposedly drove a short distance, turned around and then purposefully drove into the procession. However, the government has said that it was only a sad traffic accident, but none of them were actually at the incident and are likely trying to play it down. Regardless, many families buried their children today, the youngest being six. Please pray for these families and for the safety of all the Christians who suffer for their faith there daily.
