02/15/2019 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – In an incident of religious intolerance directed toward Christians in Pakistan, unidentified vandals set a church on fire that was under construction in Lahore. The church was set ablaze on April 15, 2018. The altar, pulpit, dozens of Christian books, carpets, fans, plastic chairs, tables, clock, wooden crosses, tarpaulin, and worship instruments were destroyed and reduced to ashes.

Unfortunately, many members of this Christian community are still under threat. Since they do not receive adequate protection and their religious freedom is limited, the dangers they face are multiplied.

Following the attack, ICC visited the damaged church. To help this community of believers rebuild, ICC assisted with the church building repairs. This allowed ICC to encourage the church in a tangible way and demonstrate that believers around the world are supporting them as they continue to face further trials.
