01/12/2019 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – Christians in Hyderabad, Pakistan are happy as local government officials have taken steps to protect a Christian graveyard. Located on Ganju Taker Tando Muhammad Road, the Christian graveyard had seen sand and stones stolen by local people, the land mafia and contractors over the past nine months.

On January 10, the Assistance Engineer of Building of Taluka Latifabad, Hyderabad visited the Christian graveyard and surveyed the area to establish a boundary wall for protection. This visit and survey for the boundary wall was months in the making as a local advocate, Sooba Bhatti, pleaded with local government officials to take action to protect the Christian graveyard.

Local Christians were very happy with the government’s actions and have prayed on their behalf. Bhatti is also being held up as a local hero who has struggled for the right of minority peoples.
