US Christians Freed from North Korea Arrive Back Home

ICC Note: Three American Christians were freed from North Korea this week and have finally return to the United States. The prisoners were released after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un earlier this week. President Trump believes this is a good sign to improving relations between the two countries.

5/27/2018 North Korea (Bedford Journal) – The three American Christians released this week from prison in North Korea have arrived back in the United States, touching down at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland early Thursday, with President Donald Trump first to welcome them.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary [of State Mike] Pompeo and the people of the United States for bringing us home,” the former prisoners, namely Kim Dong-chul, Kim Hak-song, and Tony Kim, said in a statement.
