Christians help migrant workers in Beijing

ICC Note: Christians in China are considered a threat to the Chinese government. Therefore, they face many restrictions and are constantly discriminated for their religion. However, many Christians in China understand the teachings of Jesus and that strong relationship allows them to serve others without any form of discrimination or resentment.

12/5/2017 China(Christian Daily) –  On November 29, 2017, Brother Zhao and some Christians offered temporary accommodation to migrant workers who were relocated and helped them move in Beijing. Beijing ordered a city-wide safety check after a fire killed 19 people and injured eight others in Daxing District, a southern suburb of Beijing, on Nov. 18. Many migrants who lived in Beijing’s collective rented apartments had to move out in just a few days.
