Pastor Abducted in Malaysia Might Have Been Murdered

A pastor in Malaysia that has been abducted has not been heard from for weeks. The abduction, which was caught on CCTV involved three large black SUVs, two cars, and several motorcycles and was carried out less than a hundred meters from police housing. It was executed professionally and apparently had significant resources and training involved, with a member of the abduction team filming the operation and other members driving away would be witnesses. The pastor’s son has filed a police report saying he believes his father was murdered since no ransom has been requested. Although there is no indication as to why the pastor has been abducted, he has been accused of attempting to convert Muslims and he once had a bullet mailed to his house which was perceived to be a death threat. Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim nation with active radical Muslim organizations.
3/10/2017 Malaysia (Free Malaysia Today) – Two weeks after Pastor Raymond Koh was abducted from his vehicle in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, his son now fears the worst, The Star reported.
Jonathan Koh filed a second police report yesterday stating his suspicion that his father had been murdered by his abductors.
The pastor’s son said his reason for the second police report was the lack of ransom demand or information, even after the family had offered a RM100,000 reward.
According to the daily, Jonathan said the report was lodged based on Section 364 of the Penal Code, which is kidnapping or abduction for murder – a crime punishable by death or imprisonment for a term that may extend to 30 years.
